Global Web Index yesterday produced the 2011 version of the ‘Global Map of Social Networking’
The research, run by London company Trendstream, is based on six waves of surveys about global consumer adoptation of the internet and social media across 36 different countries.
Th research shows the differences in social media behaviour in different geographical regions. People in fast growing Asian countries are far more focused on content sharing, while people within more established Western countries such as the UK and USA are more focused on sending messages.
What do you think about the ways different counties use social networks? Please let us know in the comments section.
