The huge growth of Twitter cannot be ignored. Over the past few years it has risen like a pheonix to become, in many peoples eyes, the leading social media network in the world.
Sure it doesn’t have as many users as Facebook (yet!), but the quick fire nature of Twitter has positioned it as a leading world news source. Example after example could be quoted, Ryan Giggs, Libiya, the Japanese disaster. Social media is the new television, you hear unbiased news here first and Twitter is blazing the trail.
Yesterday, via visual.ly, Twitter released a great infographic detailing their rise to 200 million registered accounts. we look forward to the 400 million one, it cant be that far off!
